longest stage exposure in front of the thousands of crowd

around 2o'clock in the afternoon, my choirmates and i met at the nursing dean's office to warm up and make some "pahabol" decisions for the event around 5:30 in that very afternoon... the skies were cloudy that day not mentioning the frequent downfalls of rain in the past nights that we have practiced.. and oh! yeah.. it would always rain when we were practicing.. haha! maybe it was because of jofe's tingling soprano voice that echoed that anatomy laboratory when we practice our pieces. anyway.. that day, i still was not able to familiarize the lyrics of the songs.. haha.. sir J told us that the contest for the carols was cancelled because no other course other than us prepared for it..hehe.. so i thought "yeah.. we were winners by default!" hehe.. and the others thought that maybe they were "afraid" to challenge us.. haha.. oh well.. enough for being an air-head..

around 5o'clock that day, we went to the UM Main gym.. there were lots of people na.. and my heart was starting to pound faster than the usual.. NARRRSS!! hehe.. joke lang.. the program has not yet started until around six pm, the emcee was calling all the participants for the prelude of the program.. and we were asked to go backstage.. yeah.. we hurriedly went because we were the 2nd to perform in the program.. tic tac tic tac.. and i felt like i became Frodo in the Lord of the Rings when we arrived backstage.. there i saw the UM Choir practicing their notes and some of them were vocalizing and stuff.. yeah.. they look good in those "Filipinana" costumes that they have.. i felt like going back to our seats because primarily, 'di kami magka-level..haha.. they were way, way far better than us.. but.. we had the guts to go near the entrance of the backstage when they told us to get ready because we were next..

here comes the fun.. the emcee announced "NOW, HERE WITH US.. TO GIVE US CHRISTMAS CAROLS.. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, LET US ALL WELCOME....THE NURSING CHOIR..!" i thought .."hehe.. joke"..and we went out on stage with all of us discreetly trembling..heheh..and there i saw more than a thousands of crowd.. by the way, our school gymn is really huge.. well... i still haven't memorized the lyrics of the songs.. i planned to go lip sync when the need arises.. hehe... then we started to sing.. i tried to look happy (even if i was not) because we were singing good songs .. then we started HARK! THE HERALD ANGELS SING...GLORY TO THE NEW BORN KING...and until we got to sing the last part "GLO-HO-RY TO THE NEW...BORN" BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM....!!!!!!! the lights and the sounds SNAPPED! hehehe.. and we were like.. "what happened??" "why were all the lights and sound turned out??" haha.. and our conductress was like us..shocked... and i told them.. "maybe it's with the fuse.. the power supply was not able to handle all the plugs that have been plugged.." hehe.. and some were now booing.. and i told them,, ARE WE HAVING OUR LONGEST TIME OF EMBARASSMENT HERE??....yeah yeah.. and i really thought we did.. and we stood there for about 5 minutes.. 5 long minutes of silence and confusion...hahahaha.. we were then arguing if we would go down the stage.. and the emcee told us to get down,.. so we went.. and we were like saying "WHAT WAS THAT??!" haha.. i think that was the longest 5 minutes that i ever had...

maybe 15 minutes have passed or so.. still the lights were turned out.. many of the crowd were now restless and the shouts of BOO! are now clearer than ever.. and then little by little.. the lights turned on.. and now.. all the lights and the sounds were on..and the crowd were clapping and yelling... so.. the emcee welcomed us once again on stage.. and we went up.. sang our Christmas Carols (still i was not able to get it memorized)... when we sang CAROLS of the BELLS, i thought, "now this too shall pass" ..hehe.. after the singing.. they clapped.. especially my FANS (hehehehe....) i mean, my friends.. and then we went down.... the program started and so as with the pageant..and we went home.. i did went home.. because my 'rents fetched me at Jofe's house.. hehehe.. too bad....

....updating....

First it was scheduled in the 8th of december..then it was moved by the 19th.. now..finally.. it is january 8, 2006.. hhmm.. im talking about our acoustic band launching.. my brother bong, my bestfriend.. carmela, and my kababata which turned out to be my "kambal" and i were on a new gig.. we'll  be performing in a bar formerly called "wackoos".. it is near the venue and we'll be starting off this january.. every friday of the month..ok.. so now im open for any suggestions of songs that we are going to sing.. well.. dapat acoustic sya.. un..

ding, dong, ding, dong...christmas is here...! :) yesterday afternoon, i was approached by jofe (one of my friends in school) and asked me if i could join their choral practice for this coming friday's contest "choral singing" ..it is by the way an inter-course (hahaha..okay,okay) ..an inter-college contest.. yun, i thought it was great since i've got nothing to do since all my exams were over.. so.. i went around 5.30 in the afternoon to join their practice, unknowingly, it would be the elimination for all the four voices..they would only allow 2 people for each voice (alto,soprano,tenor, and bass).. and haha! i was chosen to sing for the alto! :) yun..medyo nakokonsensya nga ako kasi matagal-tagal ng nagpapraktis ung iba..tapos hindi pa sila nakuha..yun... 

so now...im kinda excited for the contest..by the way.. we will be singing "carol of the bells" and "hark the hearld" un...

hey! tsaka.. im enjoying my aerobics class during 6.30pm..mga thrice a week ako nag-aattend..hehehe... hope ill get slimmer kasi tumataba na nga raw ako...well yun.. hahayyy.. everyday im missing this somebody.. kakalungkot na nga eh... *sigh*
