the Laagan '06

even with the cough and colds that I am still experiencing and .. er.. add up fever in the list pa, I still went with my friend Adelle in Valencia City, Bukidnon yesterday morning.

After having breakfast with the Josons yesterday, Adelle asked me to join her in her trip bound to Bukidnon,.. She will be visiting two of her SEP campers living in Valencia... I wanted to come with Adelle too, that's why I agreed.. not to mention that she will be my "mum" during the day.

We left Davao at around 11am and headed to Valencia, Bukidnon (169kms away from Davao)... nagpicture2x lang mi and all during the trip.. so.. nalingaw jud ko.. hehe.. We arrived there around 3:30PM, LG Yuson came to fetch us and then he brgought us to HOT FM station, where kuya Dhodz is the station manager and ehem,.DJ.. okee.. ill be telling you my thoughts about HOT FM..

HOT FM is the only friendly station in Bukidnon and is the only station who is playing christian and contemporary christian  songs all day and night.. THeir station is not so large and not too small, not so equipped, but complete with the facilities that they need to be aired all over Bukdinon. I enjoyed my stay there while hearing the news and chatting with kuya Dhodz, LG, and Adelle.

We went to Jocel's Fastfood.. hhm.. upon arriving there, I instantly recognized the smell of the dessert that they are serving.. Durian Cake! nakakasawa pala sa pang-amoy.. hehe.. That was the first time that I saw a fastfood that sells lotsa desserts and other pasalubongs.. Remember that I still have my cough and colds? hhmm... When I ate my lunch (at past 4pm), I mistakenly ordered their chicken chuvaness.. It looks like adobo or black sabaw to me but it takes really spicy that made me cough even more.. hhmm.. "Nakakahiyang Ubo"..

around 6pm, we went to Lumbo, Valencia City Bukidnon where Adelle's camper is living.. The Cagas family is holding a midweek Bible Study. Ptr. Garner Gulfan took hold of the message part. Adelle was so surprised with the number of children who came during the Bible Study and yes..they were really children but they are interested in reading the Bible.. hhmm... and now.. im giving you the highlight of my trip! haha..

after the Bible Study, manang Idang (Mrs. Cagas) asked who among us was coughing during the BS.. of course, I coudlnt deny it because I am really coughing hard during the BS.. so there... I saw her holding a bottle (looks like a big medicine bottle, colored).. she told me that she will be giving me this Herbal Medicine that she made and she uses when she has coughs/colds.. and all of them were looking at me and yes.. smiling.. heehee... and i was.. well... nervous... I have had many unlikeable experiences in taking herbal meds... I disliked the tastes of those herbs even if they were said to be meds... well.. out of respect, I agreed to take    TWO TABLESPOONS OF PITO PITO HERBAL SYRUP!   haha.. on my first tablespoon, it tasted eeewwwww... and LG, Harold, kuya Dhodz, and Adelle were laughing in the way I looked after taking in the potion. they were even teasing me that they will take a picture of me and my reaction so that i could keep it as a remembrance.. of course.. i said no... haha... and on the second tablespoon, I started to appreciate the taste of the herb... it has its sweetness though it tastes like grass.. but what I appreciated more was the cooling effect on the throat which smoothened my breathing and unclogged my nostrils which Neozep cannot do in an instant... well it still tasted eeewww but I seemed to like the MANANG IDANG'S PITO PITO HERBAL POTION at all.. hehehe....

we stayed there for dinner.. during and after the dinner, Manang Idang continued in entertaining us with her stories in life.. she started from her dating times with her husband until she reached in the part where she and some of her bible-study mates were given a court order because they were accused to be doing some "satanic" rituals during their meetings.. and thankfully, they have not been imprisoned because they were not really doing these things, they were misinterpreted.

On Manang Idang..

When she was still telling us the story about her lovelife, her voice was quite loud and audible... but the longer she talks, her voice becomes so soft yet her talking remains at constant speed.. 300words/minute! haha... Her voice became a jukebox to me last night that I already had a nap at the dinner table.. oh no! what a disgrace am I to the Labutap Clan! hehe.. no table etiquette... I think i just got so tired with the travel and enjoyed Manang Idang's stories so much that I slept at the dinner table.. good thing that Adelle massaged my back that I came back to my senses again! hehe.. then Ptr. Garner Gulfan came to fetch us na... he will be bringing us to the Yuson's residence...goodnight and goodbye Manang Idang! I shall never forget about you and your Pito-Pito.. ehehehe,...

on our way down..

I thank GOD for blessing adelle this very cute cellular phone.. i forgot the brand but it is the one with the flashlight..! hhmm.. because of the heavy rain at that afternoon, the road down to the highway became so muddy that I already wished I had my huge shoes on of which Jofe (a friend of mine from school) used to call it "4x4 truck"... yes, I wish that was the one that I used yesterday than that black and white snickers of mine.. when we got into the highway where Ptr. Gulfan's car was parked, i felt like I grew 2 inches taller.. hehe.. well.. the additional two inches are all mud.. hahaha..

while in Ptr. Gulfan's car..

When I got into Ptr. Gulfans car, I remembered my Tito's old car when I was younger.. It was not really nice but I still thank God for it will deliver us to the Yuson's --free of charge.. hehe.. while we were inside the car, I noticed that the car exhausted a not-so-good-to-smell air.. it smelled like gasoline.. I was coughing hard because of that.. Manang Idang's Pito-Pito didnt seemed to work at all... hehehehe... The car sounded as if it had to break and disassemble in any moment during our trip... the car was really old that it was already a miracle that it survived until we made it at Yuson's place.. Then Ptr. Garner told us that the car is due for repair today.. so I told myself.."kaya pala the car was so cranky..it needed tune up pala".. so Thanks parin for Ptr Garner!

at Yuson's place... after dressing up for sleep... Adelle and I was invited to sleep over at Gwen's room (my asst counselor at this year's SEP).. she had a nice room and well.. full of teddies...naremember ko tuloy ung room ni carmi.. hehe.. so un.. we had lotsa chikka.. of course.. girl talk this and that....I enjoyed last night's chat.. hehe..

I woke up seeing Adelle reading another self-help book on love again.. hehe.. well.. ang friend ko talaga... ehehe... so yun.. after dressing up.. LG and kuya Dhodz accompanied us to the bus terminal..

Adelle took the first bus for Cagayan de Oro City.. and I, on the other hand, took the bus bound for Davao City..

Now I'm home...

In June 10-11, I'll be out again for Joshua Generation Conference Part 2.. hehe.. I'll be seeing my bespren again.. hehe.. nice..
