A Girl Named Kai

err…My nickname’s Kai, but this post’s not bout me. This one’s about a new tutee of mine back at greenbox whose name is Kai. =)

She’s thirteen, standing 5′5″ tall, white-skinned, chinita eyes, basta maganda..Like me, may kaweirdohan din. This is my first time to be meeting somebody who’s having a nickname, with the same spelling like mine. Like me, she also hates her “Kai” being spelled as “Cay” or “Kay”. I’m starting to think that she too is a gemini..well, Ill ask her tomorrow.

I started tutoring her in her Algebra lessons since last Tuesday. I had the mixture of anxiety and excitement when I learned that I am tasked to teach her Algebra until the end of the school year, or after the final exams. I was quite anxious because for one, she speaks coña like most of the girls (na in-line sa beauty nya). I was quite apprehensive that she might not like me, blah2x..Diba, na-insecure ako bigla! But when I interviewed her about her “math” status, I instantly felt comfortable being around her. She’s not at all maarte pala. ‘Though in some ways, she is maarte, but then, it is tolerable. Pwede pa naman. I know she’s smart, but she just hates algebra so much. She’s fun and cool to study with, and that the 1.5 hours of work and teaching is not really that long. Blessing din ‘to. Additional load, additional income. =)

Blogging 101: Part 5

Check this link please: rhinoplasty Houston, Texas

History of Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty was first developed by Sushruta, an important physician (often regarded as the "father of surgery") who lived in ancient India circa 500 BC, which he first described in his text Susrutha Samhita. He and his later students and disciples used rhinoplasty to reconstruct noses that were amputated as a punishment for crimes. The techniques of forehead flap rhinoplasty he developed are practiced almost unchanged to this day. This knowledge of plastic surgery existed in India up to the late 18th century as can be seen from the reports published in Gentleman's Magazine (October 1794).

The first intranasal rhinoplasty in the West was performed by John Orlando Roe in 1887. It was later used for cosmetic purposes by Jacques Joseph (b. Jakob Lewin Joseph) in 1898 to help those who felt that the shape or size of their nose caused them embarrassment and social discomfort. His first rhinoplasty patient was a young man whose large nose caused him such embarrassment that he felt unable to appear in public. He approached Joseph because he had heard of a previous successful otoplasty, or "ear job," which the surgeon had performed.

Blogging 101: Part 4

I was all by myself for lunch today. This morning, I have decided not eat lunch because I don't have anybody to accompany me. My friends say that is really sad to eat lunch alone, and that for them, it would be better not to eat lunch at all. But my stomach was already complaining when the clock turned 12.30pm... So, I went to the university canteen but all the food were already gone! So, ive got no choice at all.. I went outside the school and went to the usual carinderia were Jofe and I eat lunch. When I arrived there, I saw Cathy, the first ever person that I befriended in UM.. We exchanged hi's and hello's..but she told me something that is really quite embarrassing... tambok daw ko! hahahaha...Upon hearing it, I thought of having a liposuction in San Jose
and thought of getting my fats vacuumed.. hahaha... so much for these wild thoughts!

Blogging 101: Part 3

I was waiting for my friend Jofe inside the library yesterday. While killing time, I scanned one of the books that are piled in the table in front of me. The guiness book of world records 2005, best recipes, and the best interior designs of clubs all over the world. I was fascinated with the look of the best San Diego clubs
..They are totally fabulous! I am on the edge of envying the people around the plains of San Diego, on how they were all enjoying night life there. Here in Davao, we only got a few of good bars around to hop in. We only have the Aquarium, Pops, Autoshop, and the Venue.

Finally, my projects in my Asian Civilization class are done! I haven't got enough sleep last night because of those projects. If not for the prize of final exam exemption, I would not bother completing all those "more than enough" requirements. Although my prof really got us real crazy about it, I still thank her for giving us a chance of being exempted to the Finals. haha! and now, I already am! I deserve it..i Think..hahahaha..
