a blog entry.

If I were to choose between beauty and a billion, I'd go for the billion.

These days, people are so fond of renovating their houses, cars, computers, cellphones, and sometimes, their faces. If you have the money, you can do anything you want with the technology that we are enjoying at the moment. Just like some of the prettiest and sexiest stars in the movies and televisions, they keep themselves pleasing for people to go after their shows, concerts, etc. Plastic surgery in Cary, NC extends their services to those who wants to update their lives and their faces using the latest hi-tek equipment available in town. If you have the money and the guts to go to these clinics, then why not try it.

I saw lots of burn patients in the hospital this morning. I don't know if the DMC, a public hospital, gives free plastic surgery services to those burn patients. Maybe they should..especially to those little babies who were victims of fire and the like. kawawa naman kasi sila...=( If I were to choose between beauty and a billion, I'd still go for the billion. With  my billion, I will be able to help this little kids that I saw earlier. God, bless them.

today's a good day

earlier today, we had our first hospital experience in Davao Medical Center--The Orientation. DMC is the largest health care facility in Mindanao. Mrs. Loreta De Guzman, RN, the speaker of our orientation, gave us the guidelines and other informations about the hospital. I didn't know that DMC is following a really strict guideline and set of rules until today. I didn't eat my breakfast because I woke up late this morning. That's why, during the orientation, my mind was divided into two, the first half is focused with Ma'am De Guzman, and the other half is occupied with images and images of food. At around 10am, I was having a hypoglycemia. The good thing is, my classmate brought some cookies and candies that helped me (or us) get through the starvation. Right after the orientation and the almost-an-hour-of-announcements from our clinical instructors, we were allowed to go and eat our lunch.

Marbeth, a new friend and a classmate joined me in g.mall for lunch. After a very heavy lunch of Mang Inasal's Chicken inato plus unlimited rice, we went inside some of the shops in the mall and window-shopped. I found a likeness of me in Marbeth. She too doesn't love shopping for dresses, or shoes that much. I realized this when we went past the prom dress section of the mall, when she blurted her loathing of the thought of dressing up so much when going into places like the mall or bars. This was the first time Marbeth and I went together inside a shopping center. I knew she wasn't enjoying the scene that she was seeing as much as I do so I dragged her with me in the mall's arcade. We played table hockey and daytona car racing.  After enjoying the arcade, I asked her to go with me at Fuji photo print shop for my pictures to be printed. After we collected the pictures, I shared lots of stories with her and I can't believe myself opening up to somebody that I barely know. After a few laughs, we moved on and went home.

Parenteral Medication, so far so damn good!

Two days ago, I had my return demonstration of giving intradermal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous injection.. I was surprised with how good I have done during RD, that in fact, I didn't really spent time memorizing my checklist because of what happened in my other RD, where I memorized everything but ended up getting mentally blocked during the final show. So, I just read the checklist once..or maybe twice..and just practiced the right way of introducing meds inside the syringes, etc. Then goes my turn for the RD. I have done well, I know. Now, who wants to volunteer to become my patient? If you want to have your minor plastic surgery, just buy Fort Myers BOTOX and I will be the one who'll inject..free of charge! hahaha..

The picture above was taken from the making of The Tale of the Two Best Friends: Meet the Stubborn and the Nagger..hehehe..

Flash that Killer Smile

Many of us are so concerned with the way we look. Some are even so concerned of themselves that they tend to compare themselves to others on who's a lot prettier, this-that. Before, I used to tag those kind of people as "insecure", because at many instances, they go beyond the line that they already backbite other girls/boys, and even to the point of insulting them just because they see them as competition. What's with being a belle or a beau when your heart is not pure, kind, and loving?

What is beauty? For me, beauty is not only seen physically, but also intellectually and through the attitude. One should have that A+factor, that charm. In one of our classes in school, it was discussed that beauty and charm should go hand-in-hand. To acquire charm, one should have these five qualities: Voice, Poise, Manner, Intellect, and heart...oh, I should include this.. a good set of teeth. haha. Not that I am discriminating those who have no good set of teeth. Well, if you think you don't, maybe you should try going to the dentists, like the
San Diego cosmetic dentists.

Talking about cosmetic dentistry, here's an info from wikipedia:

Cosmetic dentistry is a discipline within dentistry in which the primary focus is the modification of appearance of a patient's oral cavity and surrounding structures, in conjunction with the prevention and treatment of organic, structural, or functional oral disease. Through cosmetic dentistry, the appearance of the mouth can be altered to more closely match the patient's subjective concept of what is visually pleasing.

Try cosmetic dentistry, and flash that killer smile! er..raymond should try this.hahaha..ssshhh...

Kung Ikaw si Bakekang, ano ang Gagawin Mo?

In one of our sessions in Sociology and Anthropology class, our prof asked us something like this: If you are to choose between an ugly person but with a very nice personality or a heart throb but with an obnoxious character, which would you choose? Of course, many would say they would prefer those who are ugly but with a good character..but..I pity those fafables out there who doesn't really have a good attitude..haha.. My answer? I will not choose in any of the two.

Seriously, what is really more important? Looks or the attitude? I just laughed with what our prof had said/chosen. She said, if she were to choose between the two, she'd choose the ugly one. Because, as she said, "Si Bakekang nga, pwede nga ipa-plastic surgery, ung mga normal pa kaya?"

Is Honolulu plastic surgery really the answer to those people who are not fully satisfied with the way they look? For some, they may see the procedure un-Godly, while for some, a blessing. If you look like Bakekang..or Carissa in Hiram na Mukha..ano ang gagawin mo? If you have all the money, would you go to plastic surgery clinics?
