watch out for Faithfulstep.com

Hello dear friends! Faithfulstep.com is about to launch on January next year. The website has been set-up by me and my friends at church in hope that we could start a web ministry through it. It has been a blessing that we've got a couple of friends who knows where to get reserve our domain name with free web hosting in it. We only have to choose in between Business Website Hosting or Personal Website Hosting for us to get our site started. It's actually there already. Just type http://faithfulstep.com in the address bar and you'll be directed to the site. If you happen to drop by faithfulstep.com, please email us your comments and suggestions to help us improve the site. Your comments will really be appreciated. Also, if you want to contribute articles or any reading materials (and even games) feel free to email me at glenbelle@gmail.com.

Life is Beautiful

It's a B-E-A-U-Tiful Day!

My dear friend Papip gave me a copy of the movie Life is Beautiful for Christmas. I'm just so happy that she knows what kind of movies I watch and even bought me a copy of one of the best films of all time! The movie was Italian so what the producers just did is they placed a subtitle in each of the lines said by the actors. The first disc was really funny but the second disc was different. It could either make you cry or worse, die in heart attack while watching the whole thing..(haha. im just kidding).. You see, life is really beautiful even if there are times when you cannot understand the things that you encounter and where you're heading in this life. Sometimes, things just could kill you in the heart and make you feel sad and hopeless. But, don't just let those bad things overcome you. Even if things get worse, just look at it as something that is passing and temporary. With that, you'll take courage and move on in this life. See the brighter side of each situation and believe that life is indeed beautiful.

If you want to visit the Central Asia, you can actually book some Ireland hotels, Dublin hotels, Cork hotels or Belfast hotels. I'm sure after this Christmas and  New Year season, prices will roll down. SO, buckle up and get ready for your new adventure!

Movies and Australia

I have just finished watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Just the same, I really enjoyed the movie like I did before. My most favorite part was the Lord of the Rings: Two Towers..I just love the action and the thrill of the whole story in the second part. The cinematography was so great, it was so real. I learned that they shoot most of the scenes in New Zealand. Because of that, they have made the whole film so real. Unlike some movies like the first Chronicles of Narnia, some background takes are obvious that they're just computer-edited sfuff and unreal. For me, nothing beats the natural mother earth! LOL.

Australia, they say, is not as cold as New Zealand--much tolerable and much easier to live in, in terms of the climate. I can name a few friends who have made their way from Davao City Philippines to Australia. Australia, being a continent itself, already have boomed its economy, making itself favorable to migrate and live in. Two Sundays ago, "Kay Susan Tayo"  (a GMA-network TV show), have featured Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney Australia in their show. They have showcased how the local Australians live, speak, and do anything and everything. It's actually quite interesting to note that some Australians party and start drinking beers at noontime. The show also showcased the beautiful Fiji hotels, Vanuatu hotels, Whitsundays, and Noumea hotels and interviewed some famous Filipino actors and actresses who learns to make a living in that foreign country. I learned that beaches there are also good too. Maybe someday soon, I'll be visiting that place and experience some of my days there. Who knows, I might end up with an Australian hottie and live there for the rest of my life! harhar! Just kidding... 'til next blog entry.

Faithfulstep is now ONLINE!

What's up people?!!

Two years ago, we at YCFC have launched our own website at http://ycfc.org. For a year, young people from church and worldwide have been visiting it, asking plenty of questions about life and God, and anything and everything under sun! It still keeps on running, so, why not visit it now! For the technicalities, it was Uncle Richard who bought the domain name or the web hosting pack and it was I who managed the whole site through Frontpage..(yes..it was frontpage back then)..but this year, I realized that there is this certain CPanel that can manage the whole site with the use of CSS, or upload with it certain programs like wordpress MU, or whatever! So at the moment, I'm still working on it, trying to improve the site and its contents..

Well, anyway, last November, we have bought the the domain http://faithfulstep.com, and Goldwyn, a friend from church is managing it and I just do all the contents, like placing pictures and writing articles. It's nice because there are lots of web hosting packages that are available now. And because of the many web hosting companies nowadays, domain names come in varied sizes and as well as prizes that will suit the needs and capabilities of your organization. There are this standard hosting packages which will range from $4-9 a month, also there are shared hosting packages which will range from $1-$5...all of this packages comes with spam controller, upgradeable bandwidth or space, hacker-free system, and technical support! That's why it's really worry-free. Now, I have to work on the articles for our new website..so kindly check it out! thanks!

A Surprising Event at Greenbox

I was chatting with my friend/former housemate/former classmate/co-tutor, Mena, at Greenbox earlier this afternoon. We were inside the Yellow room when I heard a very familiar voice shouting out loud: "TEACHER!!" I hurriedly got up from the chair I was sitting, excused myself from Mena, and thought "That must be James". When I came near the stairs, I was surprised to be seeing James in the groundfloor pointing his heavy stroller bag like he wants me to carry it. Just like I thought, he asked me to bring his bag to the second floor because it was too heavy, he claims. Really, the bag was heavy.

I think their school should provide them lockers so as not to bring everything each and every day. Maybe a stroller bag filled with all those books and notebooks weigh more than ten kilos. So, I think they should be providing school lockers for all their students. There are actually many kinds of lockers that can be placed inside a school like steel lockers for the gradeschool and high school students, plastic lockers for the pre-schoolers, and metal lockers for the teachers. I think there is also a separate shower room/changing room for the athletes. For example, James plays soccer once a week, and he brings all his gears together with his school stuff all at once, once a week. I think that will lead an aspiring athlete to stop playing because of the too much burden of carrying all those stuffs the whole time. There should also be gym lockers that will be put up inside their changing rooms so that it'll be easier for the athletes. If they cannot afford gym lockers, maybe they could have one of those locker benches that can be made available. I really think it just so necessary for them to provide lockers for their students and their teachers as well so as not to burden me with carrying my students' bags when they attend the tutorial classes. hahaha!
